Tell the EPA: Clean up Wappinger Creek's toxic legacy

For nearly two centuries, industries along Wappinger Creek in Dutchess County left behind a legacy of toxic contamination, including PCBs, mercury, and other heavy metals. This pollution poses a real risk to the creek’s wildlife, as well as people who eat fish caught there.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed a cleanup for the upper section of the creek that would help protect the migratory fish like river herring and striped bass that spawn there.
