Volunteer Registration + T-Shirt
May 2, 2026 - 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm at Gansevoort Peninsula. T-shirts are available for purchase through Wednesday, April 8 at midnight. If you purchase a t-shirt by registering, it will be distributed at your Sweep project location on Saturday, May 2.

Join Hudson River Park's River Project and Riverkeeper for a cleanup project at Gansevoort Peninsula from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm for the 15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This is a rain or shine event.
Volunteers will meet at Gansevoort Peninsula, 427-429 Gansevoort St, New York, NY 10014. Volunteers will meet park staff at the southwest corner of the peninsula, just past the sandy area, near the boat launch ramp. Park staff will have a branded Hudson River Park tent and tablecloths. At this tent, volunteers will be able to sign in, grab PPE, and stow belongings before getting started with shoreline cleanup. There is no parking available on site. Street parking is available in the surrounding area, but may is usually very limited. We recommend traveling to the site using public transit if possible.
We recommend all Sweep volunteers to bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, insect repellent, work gloves and hand sanitizer. Hudson River Park requires shoreline cleanup volunteers to wear close toed shoes, ideally with good grip as we are working on a rocky riprap shoreline. Other required and recommended PPE will be provided on site.

- Volunteers are required to pre-register for Sweep.
- Volunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness.
