Volunteer Registration + T-Shirt
May 2, 2026 - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Andrew Haswell Green Park. T-shirts are available for purchase through Wednesday, April 8 at midnight. If you purchase a t-shirt by registering, it will be distributed at your Sweep project location on Saturday, May 2.

Join Friends of the East River Esplanade, Riverkeeper, and Parks and Trails New York (PTNY) for a cleanup project at Andrew Haswell Green Park from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for the 15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep.
This location is one of a select number of official dual Riverkeeper Sweep + I Love My Park Day sites, bringing volunteers together to protect our waterways while caring for our parks and trails. This is a rain or shine event.
Volunteers will meet at Andrew Haswell Green Park, 60th Street and the East River at the top of the Ramp at 60th Street and the Esplanade under the Aycock Pavilion.
We recommend all Sweep volunteers to bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, insect repellent, work gloves and hand sanitizer.
This site is not suitable for elementary-aged children.

*IMPORTANT! To ensure the safety of volunteers, Sweep Site Leaders, professional staff, and our communities, we ask that volunteers adhere to the following guidelines:
- Volunteers are required to pre-register for Sweep.
- Volunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness.
Over the last 14 years, Sweep leaders have completed 1,463 projects, bringing together thousands of volunteers from NYC to the Adirondacks to clean up 404 tons of debris, and plant and maintain 11,425 native trees, shrubs, and flowers.
