DESCRIPTION: May 2, 2026, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm\n\nJoin Quassaick Creek Watershed Alliance and Riverkeeper for a cleanup at Muchattoes Lake from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the 15th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This is a rain or shine event.\n \nVolunteers will meet at the north end of Muchattoes Lake at 51 Lake Drive, Newburgh, NY 12550. Please park along Lake Drive and not in the resident parking lots.\n\nEquipment, insect repellant, sunscreen, gloves, hand sanitizer, water and snacks will be provided. \n\n\nThis site is suitable for elementary-aged children with adult supervision.\n\nQuestions? To ensure the safety of volunteers, Sweep Site Leaders, professional staff, and our communities, we ask that volunteers adhere to the following guidelines:\n\n\nVolunteers are required to pre-register for Sweep.\nVolunteers should not participate if they have ANY signs of illness.\n\n\nOver the last 14 years, Sweep leaders have completed 1,463 projects, bringing together thousands of volunteers from NYC to the Adirondacks to clean up 404 tons of debris, and plant and maintain 11,425 native trees, shrubs, and flowers.
