Help get New York Rain Ready
Extreme precipitation events are expected to become more intense and frequent across the state. New York City in particular is facing the harmful impacts of heavy rainfall, leading to severe flooding that blocks roads, shuts down subways, damages property, and disrupts daily life.
Our infrastructure is not prepared to withstand the impacts of more extreme rainfall.
The widely supported bill, the Rain Ready NY Act (S4071A / A7467A), would help implement policies to reduce stormwater runoff, promote green infrastructure (large-scale plantings that absorb stormwater), and contribute to climate resiliency throughout the state.
Join us in pushing the New York State Legislature to pass the Rain Ready NY Act!
